Quality Control & Assurance for Bridge Girders

At Tehri, we ensure every step of bridge girder production meets rigorous quality standards. We follow strict procedures to comply with Indian Railway specifications and IS standards.

Testing & Inspection Process

  • All materials are procured from approved vendors only.
  • Material test certificates (MTC) are verified prior to fabrication.
  • Welding procedures are carried out as per approved WPS (Welding Procedure Specification).
  • Welders are qualified and certified as per Indian Railway norms.
  • Non-destructive testing (NDT), such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), is done to ensure weld quality.
  • Assembly, drilling, and trial assembly are done under supervision of QA/QC personnel.
  • Painting is done as per the RDSO approved painting system for anti-corrosion protection.
  • Final inspection is carried out by a competent authority before dispatch.
