WATER HARVESTING PIT

Tehri Iron & Steel Castings Pvt Ltd is perhaps the only corporate group in the western part of Uttar Pradesh which has set up a rain water harvesting system in their plant contributing their bit to make a better future.

A team of engineers has been hired by the group to design and implement the system with seven different pits, which ensures the entire rain water falling in the plant premises is conserved and goes down back to Earth.

The Company has undertaken the plantation of trees in the factory complex and keeping strict supervision so that tree should take good and healthy growth, because we understand the value of trees for the planet. "Our bit to eco system"

GREEN BUILDING MODEL

The office complex of the building has been made on the green building model, so that minimum electricity is consumed.

  • VENTILATION IN EACH AND EVERY ROOM – Our green building has proper ventilation in every room so that minimum use of air conditioner is done during the pleasant weather in summer & rainy season.
  • MINIMUM USE OF ELECTRICITY IN THE DAY TIME – This has become possible only because of proper windows in every room of the office.
  • WINDOW AIR CONDITIONERS – In each cabin window air conditioner has been used instead of centralized a.c. system. So that if any cabin is empty, the a.c. can be switched off. Which is not possible in centralized a.c. system and hence avoid the wastage of electricity.
  • USE OF WHITE COLOUR IN THE BUILDING EVEN ON THE FLOOR OF THE ROOF – White colour has been used in the building, instead of dark colours so that minimum heat absorption should happen in summers. Which keeps the building cool and hence reduce the energy consumption. Even the floor of the roof in the office has been painted white so that minimum absorption of heat should happen during summers, which keeps building cool, because of that, a.c. consume low electricity to cool office building and hence save electricity.

PAPER SHREDDERS

The Company had adopted strict policy where no waste paper should be thrown in the garbage. Each and every piece of paper is being shredded and the waste shredded paper thus collected is sold to the small paper scrap traders. So that they sell it to the paper industry for reuse.
